Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is a Canadian-American singer-songwriter. She has released more than 20 albums. The songs of DiFranco are categorized as folk and alternative rock. But, they have influences of jazz hip hop punk as well as Funk. Ani DiFranco, widely regarded as a feminist icon and Grammy-winning artist is considered to be the first pioneer of DIY music. While she's been referred to in the past as the Little Folksinger her music has embraced many types of music and collaborators, from Pete Seeger to Chuck D to Prince. She resides in New Orleans.
