Niykee who's had a whirlwind few years including being selected by Snoop to sing with him on The YouTube Brandcast May 2013 Niykee has a regular songwriting routine even though she has been a bit busy. As a producer magnet, Niykee is constantly looking through the many beats that are being sent to her. She finds that most are a source of new music ideas. After 5 seconds, I can tell the quality of a song or not. After that, I have an idea for an original song, and start writing it immediately. If I am sitting on my porch and play guitar, my lyrics simply appear and usually are written in fewer than thirty minutes. Niykee has found that her pain in the past provides an unending source of unexpected motivation. It's tough to forget the painful memories of my youth, especially losing my younger sister. The memories end up getting included in her songs. This shapes my music and adds a greater meaning, which I find extremely important. I want to be able listen to my music 20 years from now and be proud of the things I've written.
