BellamyBellamy Young (born Amy Maria Young born on February 19, 1970)[1Bellamy Young is an American actor, producer, and singer. She is best known for her role as Melody "Mellie" Grant in the ABC drama show Scandal (2012-2018). In 2014, the Critics' Choice Television awarded her the best Supporting Actress Award for a Drama Series. In 2019, she appeared in the role of Prodigal Son on Fox. Young's acting career started as a stage actress. Young made her Broadway debut in 1997 as Mary in The Life's first cast. In addition, she has appeared Off-Broadway in Stephen Sondheim's show Merrily We Roll Along (1994), and Randy Newman's Faust (1995-1996). The first time she appeared on television in the year 1995 with the character her character, Dr. Courtney Evans, in the role of a regular in the NBC soap opera Another World. She appeared in the show Law & Order in 1997 and 1998 in two different role. In 1999 , she made her film debut with one small part in the crime-drama Black and White and later she co-starred in various independent films. In the mid 2000s she began to be seen on a variety of drama and comedy showslike The Drew Carey Show and The X Files. Young is known to have made over thirty appearances on television shows between 2000-2011.
